Multifab’s expanding Cambridgeshire Steel Fabrication business started in 2001 relocating to a new 20,000 sq ft factory unit in September 2005 whilst increasing our time served work-force to what is now 30 staff in total. Our swift progress, has been built on a solid platform of quality fabrications and commitment to the development of, and certification for CE Marked Structural Steelwork accredited for BS:EN1090 execution class 2.In addition to our Structural steelwork knowledge, we have extensive experience in sheet metalwork, machine building, general fabrication and the manufacture and/or repair of Telescopic bed way covers for swarf management solutions.
Our In-House plant and machinery includes Bystronic CNC laser machine with 3000 x 1500mm bed capable of cutting 20mm mild steel and 10mm thick stainless steel, 4m x 290T Edwards Pearson Press brake, 3m x 10mm Adira Guillotine and Overhead cranes capable of lifting up to 8T capacity. We also offer in-house wet spray painting with the use of a two-pack epoxy wet system to give a high quality finish to our manufactured work.
Contracts for fabricated structural steelwork to be delivered to site on or after 1st July 2014 must be CE certified. This certification includes the obligations of BS EN 1090-1 and BS EN 1090-2 on the steelwork contractor.
